The Project
Following a thoughtful planning initiative and successful public communications campaign led by Lavallee Brensinger, this new high school project replaced the existing 1975 school. Sited with views of the surrounding White Mountains, the new facility is designed to follow the NH High Performance School (CHPS) guidelines. High Performance / Sustainable Design Features include:
- Highly energy efficient building envelope
- Significant natural daylighting in classrooms
- Electric lighting / daylighting sensors
- High-efficiency HVAC units
- Rainwater collection from roof runoff for field irrigation
The building is attached to the existing middle school, which was also renovated to meet changing educational and community needs.
