Recognizing Staff Excellence

Both Danielle Santos and Jeff Galvin recently achieved American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA) certification. This is a prestigious certification recognized by The American Society of Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) of the American Hospital Association (AHA), and is the only specialty board certification that is recognized by The American Institute of Architects (AIA).

The certification process is “rigorous and overseen by an independent testing agency, in order to establish a professionally sound, legally defensible standard by which people can identify themselves as health care architects,” according to the ACHA. This certification recognizes architectural expertise in all areas of healthcare architecture projects. Applicants have their experience, knowledge, and portfolio evaluated and approved by an independent organization. Credentialed architects demonstrate a keen understanding of the business, pre-design, design, and delivery and implementation of healthcare projects in general, acute care, post-acute care, outpatient or behavioral and mental health care settings.
