The Project
Lavallee Brensinger’s work includes recent surgical department master plans and feasibility studies for several regional medical centers. Among the most technologically advanced of such projects is The University of Vermont Medical Center’s new Hybrid Operating Room (OR). This 2,600 sf surgical suite includes a Hybrid OR with adjacent clinical support space: sub-sterile, scrub area, control room, and an equipment room. The Hybrid OR is designed for full fixed capabilities for both cardiac and vascular procedures, and as a general, multi-purpose operating room. The project also includes the complete renovation of a previously decommissioned operating room and adjacent support space.
