Medical education is entering a new era at DHMC with the innovative use of human patient simulators that enhance the educational programs and experiences available to new graduates as well as seasoned staff. Interactive, hands-on training and role-playing provide opportunities to develop new skills in a learning-friendly environment.
DHMC’s goals are to achieve high standards of care that provide a consistently safe, supportive environment for patient healing, and for staff to develop expertise and confidence in their professional skills. The Patient Safety Training Center provides multi-disciplinary skills training, procedure training, team training, quality control training, and event management. The new Center is the hub for all simulation activities at DHMC and a place to test new medical equipment, technologies, and processes.
