The Project
With the goal of providing useful office space and supporting functions for state agencies, the State of Maine procured Lavallee Brensinger Architects to conduct a building conditions assessment on their 1957 Deering building. Following a detailed programming and planning exercise, key stakeholders engaged in a collaborative process assessing multiple design options. The ~43,000 sf building will be completely renovated and transformed into modern states offices for the Maine Department of Natural Resources.
