The Project
The work of a newly appointed faculty researcher required the renovation of a portion of Hurtig Hall, circa 1960, on the Boston campus. The renovated space enables the investigation of fundamental mechanisms behind biological systems to better inform the design new classes of protein-based biomaterials that may interface with or enhance human performance. BIM was used for detailed modeling of all equipment, architectural, and MEP systems to provide the researcher and the university with a clear understanding of space layout, requirements, and coordination.
