The Project
Lavallee Brensinger has been working with Atrium Medical, a leading medical device manufacturer, in pursuit of developing a larger facility for their international business. After studying the feasibility of new, free-standing facilities on two alternate sites, Atrium elected to purchase an existing office building for comprehensive renovation and expansion.
The project consists of 116,000 sf of renovations and the design of a new 100,000 sf addition housing clean room manufacturing, quality control, shipping and receiving, and various technical support operations. Renovations to the existing facility include collaborative workspace, R & D laboratories, a new entrance lobby, employee dining facility, fitness room, training center, and technology-rich conference and meeting space.
