The Project
This circa-1909 building was restored to its original grandeur while modernizing spaces throughout. The design included increasing ceiling heights and daylight as well as integrating creative solutions for ADA accessibility.
Fitness center visitors are now greeted by a large, stimulating space with exposed steel trusses and dramatic lighting. Several new multi-use fitness spaces and multipurpose rooms were also carved out of the existing facility. The new fitness center is fully equipped with multimedia, state-of-the-art exercise equipment. The fitness facility is utilized by the majority of Dartmouth’s students and is a popular stop for visitors on campus tours.
