The Community College of Philadelphia (CCP) had a vision for their satellite campus. That vision included creating a presence that would strengthen and create opportunities to collaborate with public and private partners and excite and retain students.
In partnership with SCHRADERGROUP (Architect of Record), the Lavallee Brensinger team worked with the Community College of Philadelphia and their partners to define priorities and opportunities that would lead to a facility capable of providing high-quality career and job training for the region’s workforce. Throughout the building you will find multi-use spaces that are adaptable, maximize teaching and learning space, and take advantage of all available resources. The facility directly responds to industry trends and needs while maintaining focus on student success. Spaces for socializing and shared knowledge allow for learning opportunities to occur beyond the classroom creating a community and sense of place.
This pairing of hands-on learning and strengthening community ties will engage students well beyond their college years as they pursue careers in automotive technology, advanced manufacturing, and high-tech health care programs.
