Richard Pizzi has focused the past seven years on the research, programming, and design of medical education and clinical simulation centers. His efforts have included first-hand observations of individual and various team training scenarios, which provided valuable insight into the use of the simulation labs from the viewpoint of both a learner and observer. Richard Pizzi has led the programming and design of several medical education and clinical simulation facilities at regionally and nationally recognized institutions including: The University of Vermont / Fletcher Allen Health Care, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Concord Hospital, Western Connecticut Health Network / Danbury Hospital, Keene State College, and Bryant University.
