The Project
The Portland Sea Dogs baseball club is required to meet new Major League Baseball requirements for home team and visiting team clubs. The result of this requirement is an addition to the Portland Sea Dogs’ Hadlock Stadium, located on the Third Base side of the stadium in the vicinity of the existing left field bullpen and General Admission bleacher seating constructed in 1995. The addition houses the home team clubhouse and is structurally independent of the existing stadium.
The superstructure of the addition consists of a prefabricated, Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB). An existing left field light tower is relocated near the Left Field foul pole, with a new foundation provided based on design loads from the light pole manufacturer.
